Westchester First Fridays

Workshops and music Every 1st Friday

Los Angeles Carnival On Tour partners with Westchester First Fridays to present arts education workshops and entertainment that help to create a fun and exciting atmosphere that complements the delicious food served up by gourmet food trucks.

Our instructors teach children how to use their ideas to conceptualize designs, and use their designs to create masks, costumes and other arts projects. Our team members also partner with Jamaican folk group Hummingbird Village, and other performance artists who often conduct open rehearsals during the evening. All workshops are free.

Westchester First Fridays features food trucks, music and entertainment along 6200 black of West 87th Street in the Westchester Triangle. It was founded by merchants on the street to help businesses along 87th Street promote themselves and attract more clients.

Los Angeles Carnival On Tour

Los Angeles Carnival on Tour

Los Angeles Carnival On Tour™ is the three time 1st place winner of the Kathryn Dunham Dance Award in the Martin Luther King Jr. (Kingdom Day) Parade in Los Angeles.

The ensemble consists of dancers, musicians and educators, and can be presented with one or up to 50 or more musicians, and costumed performers depicting a variety of themes.

The talented members create unforgettable experiences for organizations and events by presenting a multi-cultural theatrical experience in live and living colors! Audiences experience true carnival spirit as they don fantastic carnival costumes, shed their inhibitions and learn the delicate art of ‘carnivaling’ to the syncopated rhythms and movement of the Caribbean. This family-friendly explosion of sound, motion and color never fails to thrill audiences and tantalize their waistlines!

Los Angeles Carnival,
Westchester Live

Launched in 2015, L.A. Carnival Westchester Live re-imagines the annual Los Angeles Carnival in Westchester, and presents it as a contemporary arts and cultural festival and parade, making Sepulveda Boulevard one of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s ‘Great Streets.’
