This tour is part of an international cultural exchange grant awarded to Marie Kellier, Artistic Director of Los Angeles Carnival, by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, and the National Performance Network.   As part of representing the City of Los Angeles 20 - 30 individuals will be selected to become members of Los Angeles Carnival On Tour,  and will represent Los Angeles in Trinidad from March 1st to March 10th, 2011. The selected members of this cultural exchange tour will have extraordinary access to carnival events, activities and organizations, while representing Los Angeles.  They will have an unprecedented view into how the greatest show on earth is produced and staged by its creators and meet some of the best practitioners in the home of carnival. Without doubt, this will be one of the most fun, educational and unique experiences participants will have, while experiencing Trinidad carnival. The cost of the trip may be partially covered by fund raising participation and cost sharing. Please complete the application below.
